Espiga was established in 1954, it is present in the daily life of the Portuguese since then.

The first product to be launched by the brand was plain wheat flour.
Over the years the brand has always been attentive to the needs of its consumers and has always been innovating by launching products for bridging them.

Throughout the years Espiga extended its flour lines, with varieties such as whole wheat, maize, rye and rice, and also with maize grits and corn starch. 

Currently consumers have at their disposal, in addition to the flours, a broad range of spices and aromatic herbs, condiment pastes and herbs and spices paste tubes, top down sauces, chocolate and cocoa powder, four varieties of bread crumbs, preserved onions, batter and tempura mix, balsamic vinegar and creams, preserved fruits, vegetable oils.
